    Description

    Antique Central African double edged curved sword approx. 24" high.  Incised iron blade and wooden grip.  This style of blade is usually accredited to the Kuba / Ngbandi of the Congo region.  Estimated date of manufacture is 1860 to 1915.  Selling for 93 years young lady we helped move to assisted living.  This sword was acquired while her and her husband lived in Zambia in the 1960's.  She did not know the history prior to purchase in 1965.  Many more African items and ethnic weapons to be listed.  Thanks for looking!
